Anna Georghiou (Founder) Holistic Therapist        On line Meditation Group 

 

Anna holds a BA in Psychology and Philosophy and a Master’s degree in Fine Art. She is a Fellow of the Federation of Holistic Therapists and a Member of the Association of Reflexologists.

 

She practices Aromatherapy, Reiki, Reflexology, and Indian Head Massage and leads the Friday Online Meditation Group. In addition to her work in holistic therapies, Anna is also a practicing artist and musician.

 

"I am passionate about complementary therapies and their profound ability to support healing, growth, transformation, and well-being on many levels. In this time of change and transition, I believe this work is more important than ever, and I am committed to making it both affordable and accessible to our wider community."

Anna founded Okehampton Community Well-Being for All in 2018 and The ASHCA School in 2024.

Eve Oliveira (Founding Member)

Complementary Therapist at Okehampton Medical Centre

Hi, I’m Eve Oliveira. I’m a Yoga and Pilates Instructor as well as a practitioner and a tutor of complementary therapies. I believe in the power of touch to help balance, energise and soothe the body and the mind.

I have been studying and practising Reflexology, different types of massage and Reiki for the last 20 years and am passionate about helping improve the health of my community members, in Okehampton, Devon.

Qualified Reiki Master and Indian Head Massage practitioner, Tai Chi and Qigong instructor, musician.

 

For many years I have been on a journey of mind, body and nature healing. This passion for nature connection and holistic healing has led me to Scotland and Wales, working as a Countryside Ranger and Forest School Leader.

 

I later travelled to Canada and Norway where I have worked with indigenous peoples, leading wilderness camps, living on their sacred lands and learning their ways and traditions.

 

I have a Bsc degree in Botany and over 35 years’ experience of working with people of all ages and all walks of life.

 

Tai Chi, Body work and Complementary Therapies.

 

I have studied Tai Chi and The Alexander Technique for over 20 years, learning how emotion can be held as tension in the body and how the body and mind are connected.

 

I am so pleased to be part of Okehampton Community Well-Being For All and to have the chance to give back to the community by offering treatments to all those who need them'.

Christine Star supports OCWFA  behind the scenes, shares her knowledge and experience through her workshops and volunteers at the Well-Being Cafe.

Christine started her vocational journey as a nurse in Germany, after working as a Social worker, mainly in the field of youth work and extensive holiday programs.

During this time her interest for Astrology, Tarot, Crystal and Reiki intensified and she gained qualifications.

She knew that this was the work she really wanted to do.

Moving from Germany to England she gained a Diploma in Massage and Aromatherapy and founded her Holistic Therapy Centre, her own Westar School, where she taught for many years.

 

Today Christine is an honorary member of the British Complementary Therapy Association (BCMA) and a school standards examiner for the organisation.

Phil Bird MA Supports OCWFA  behind the scenes and shares his knowledge and experience through his support, guidance and creative workshops.

 

Phil is a voluntary Creative advisor for Okehampton Well Being for All. And can offer a variety of creative activities for our service users. He has also worked as a Field officer for Southern Artlink a charity ,bringing the arts to marginalised people in a variety of settings.

Phil Has an M.A. in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths College and is a Professional Painter and independent Songwriter/Musician with over 30 years experience. Exhibiting his paintings Internationally and performing at music festivals and arts centre venues both in Britain and Europe, Including Glastonbury Festival and Riba Roja de ebre Eco Arts Festival in Catalonia.

Phil has produced 6 CDs of his original work, including CDs Working with Anna as ‘Troubadours Garden’.

 

Phil has worked extensively on Degree and Post degree courses and Led foundation Arts programmes both in Uk and Cyprus,.He has received major ArtsCouncil funding for Artists residencies in many Schools and colleges.

 

Phils role as lead facilitator in Creative and performing arts projects and workshops,has often seen him working with other creative professionals, writers dancers and drama specialists.to make Creativity available to communities who might not often have acsess’

 

Phil and Holistic Therapist, Painter and Musician Anna Georghiou, currently offer workshops in their innovative project ‘Rich in other Senses’, which explores how Complementary Therapies and creative arts can combine to facilitate powerful, meaningful ,fun and immersive experiences for people as a pathway towards well being.
